Sweat-Free Easter
A bit of a light-hearted piece about the Easter festivities
Enjoy Easter Sweat-Free and Stress-Free!
Easter's just around the corner! Right after Christmas, it's the second biggest church festival, and it's another time for families to get together and celebrate. But all the prep and organisation can be a lot of work, and the stress can really get the sweat glands going even before Easter Sunday. Find out here how you can truly enjoy the Easter break and have a sweat-free start to spring.
Easter marks the end of the 40-day Lent period that started on Ash Wednesday. Finally, the tables are laden once again, and we can happily tuck into all the delicious treats that spring brings. Of all the festivals, Easter is one of the loveliest, partly because after the long winter, nature comes alive again, with the first tentative buds appearing on trees and bushes, and the temperatures starting to rise. We've put together some helpful tips for you: all about organising Easter so you can get through the holidays feeling relaxed, sweat-free, and without any embarrassing sweat patches on your smart Easter outfit.
Sweat-Free and Stress-Free Thanks to Good Easter Organisation
Where are we celebrating Easter this year? Who exactly is coming? When are the guests arriving? Which guest has which intolerances and can't eat certain foods? How many kids will there be and what can we do to keep them entertained? There are loads of organisational questions to sort out and preparations to make before Easter. The key is, if you prepare well now, you'll be able to enjoy Easter all the more relaxed and, above all, sweat-free!
Teamwork is the magic word when it comes to preparing family celebrations! Once you've decided where the gathering will be, the next thing to discuss is what food will be on the table and who will prepare and bring what. The host definitely shouldn't be left to do everything on their own! Nominate an organiser in the group who can list all the tasks and divide them up fairly – a bit like a project manager at work! This way, you can make sure everything runs perfectly in the end and it will be an unforgettable Easter for everyone! Please remember: if all the tasks fall on one person, they won't enjoy the festivities because all the hustle and bustle will literally leave them stressed and sweating.
Our tip for a sweat-free Easter organisation this year: the host takes care of the decorations and planning any activities. The guests share the responsibility for preparing the food to bring along. Sounds doable, doesn't it? This way, everyone can enjoy Easter in a relaxed and mindful way... and no one will have problems with excessive sweat and body odour!
It doesn't always have to be a three-course meal. Sitting together cosily and having breakfast or brunch together, for example, is also lovely and, above all, less stressful than hours of cooking.
By the way: there are foods that can help prevent your sweat production from being unnecessarily ramped up, or even reduce it, even when you're stressed. You can find out more about this in our advice article "Healthy Eating Against Sweating".
Stay Sweat-Free Thanks to the Right Easter Outfit
Especially when things get stressful over the holidays, most people have problems with sweat and body odour. Although we all look forward to spending time with family, we also find it a real challenge to get our festive outfit through Easter unscathed – without sweat patches and without smelling of sweat! But here too, good preparation is everything, and with our following tips, your Easter outfit is sure to stay sweat-free.
- Antiperspirants specifically regulate sweat production without affecting normal, healthy sweating. No more annoying body odour and no more embarrassing sweat patches under the arms on your fresh shirt, delicate silk blouse or smart dress. The everdry Antiperspirant Body Roll-On is particularly reliable. With regular use, the ingredients it contains narrow the sweat glands, thus reducing the amount of sweat released. By the way: this doesn't restrict your body's healthy sweating, it only prevents sweating in specific areas – and thus those unsightly sweat stains on your clothes! You can find more information on how antiperspirants work here: How Antiperspirant Works
- Also recommended for avoiding sweat stains and body odour on clothing is the use of discreet underarm pads. These are self-adhesive and therefore easy to use. They absorb sweat directly where it occurs and lock it securely in their highly absorbent core. In the everdry online shop, you'll also find other products that effectively combat sweat, e.g. on the hands or feet, in addition to the underarm pads.
Enjoy a Sweat-Free Easter with the Right Programme
Especially for children, it's important to have a programme at Easter that keeps them entertained and happy. But we adults also benefit from doing things together – it brings the family closer! Here too, the key is to organise and plan in advance so that everything runs smoothly. Here are our tips on what your Easter programme could look like.
- The Easter walk on Easter Sunday is very popular and is one of the many things you can do at Easter. You can also use the long and leisurely Easter walk to go to the park with the children and have a little Easter egg hunt outdoors. One adult walks ahead a little and uses the head start to hide an egg behind a tree – then the little ones can search!
- Zoos, but also many other institutions, organise Easter events for families where they can do crafts and look for Easter eggs. So if you want to do something on Easter, you should definitely take a look at the local newspapers beforehand to see what events are on. Competitions that are held at Easter, such as egg rolling or the egg and spoon race, are great fun. In some regions, these kinds of Easter competitions are really big, and participants train for them all year round. It's particularly fun to take part with the whole family – as spectators or maybe even as participants!
- So-called Easter bonfires are also very popular and widespread. In many villages, they traditionally take place and are combined with music and snacks. You save yourself a lot of cooking and simply focus on having lots of fun and joy with your loved ones!
Don't Underestimate the Temperatures During Outdoor Easter Activities
Despite all the excitement for the Easter walk or visiting the Easter bonfire, it should be remembered that it's only just spring. The temperatures can therefore often be very different: very mild at midday and cooling down significantly towards the evening when the sun disappears. Layering is the answer here. Sweat is mainly produced when the body overheats. So: take off your jacket and thick jumper during activities and bright sunshine at midday – then put your jumper and jacket back on in the evening by the cosy Easter bonfire. It's best to round off your Easter outfit with functional clothing. Intelligent functional clothing ensures ideal temperature regulation on the skin and prevents both rapid cooling and excessive sweating. The Thermocool yarn material transports any sweat produced on the skin directly away, so that the skin remains sweat-free and dry and the body doesn't cool down too much, but always stays at a comfortable temperature. With the right clothing, you can therefore enjoy Easter outdoors too – staying sweat-free and not getting cold!
