There are various ways to fast. Many people fast from Ash Wednesday to Easter due to Christian tradition, giving up things like chocolate, meat & alcohol during this time. Here, the focus is on abstinence and moderation, rather than bodily purification. It's quite different with so-called "therapeutic fasting". Therapeutic fasting is like a spring clean: it cleanses the body, but also the mind.
When fasting, the duration and the foods you abstain from can vary greatly. The best fasting method for you is best determined together with a nutritionist, naturopath, or your doctor.
Why Sweating is So Important During Fasting
A fasting cure cleanses the body and mind from the inside out, and sweating cleanses our skin from the outside. Together, they create an all-round feeling of well-being.

When Should You Not Fast?
