Tap Water Iontophoresis (TWI) Reduces Sweat and Odour
Iontophoresis treatment is a direct current therapy where body areas affected by hyperhidrosis are exposed to a weak direct current, which is passed through a basin filled with tap water. The affected body areas (hands, feet) are placed in the water-filled basin for this purpose. When treating other body areas like the armpits, the direct current is conducted via suitable accessories moistened with water.
Tap Water Iontophoresis (TWI) typically reduces sweating after just a few applications.
The SweatStop® Iontophoresis DE20 control unit (Article Number 9030) serves as the basis for the application. It's supplied in a case which also doubles as the basin for treatment. Additionally, depending on the body area to be treated, the corresponding accessories (cables, sponges for hands/feet, armpits) must be ordered.
